China and Yangtze River Cruise in 11 Days
Travel from Beijing to Shanghai on a route that brings together China’s imperial landmarks, the Terracotta Warriors, and a Yangtze River cruise through the Three Gorges. The trip begins in Beijing with time at Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, the Great Wall at Mutianyu, and a hutong ride by rickshaw. In Xi’an, visit the Terracotta Warriors, a pottery workshop, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and the Ancient City Wall. Continue to Chongqing to join the river cruise, then sail past Shibaozhai Pagoda, Qutang Gorge, and the Three Gorges area before disembarking near Yichang and continuing by high-speed train to Shanghai. In Shanghai, the route includes Yuyuan Garden, the Bund, the Jade Buddha Temple, and time to see the city’s older and newer sides. The tour uses private road transfers, guided sightseeing on key days, and train travel between cities.
