    Ayapata

    Cusco to Ayapata via Km 82

    Pickup in Cusco, Urubamba or Ollantaytambo, breakfast in Ollantaytambo, then drive to Km 82 to begin the trek. Walk past Patallacta and continue to the first campsite at Ayapata.

    Chaquiccocha

    Ayapata to Chaquiccocha

    An early start leads to Dead Woman's Pass, then down into the Pacaymayo Valley for lunch. In the afternoon, continue over Runkuraqay Mountain and past Sayacmarca before reaching the campsite.

    Wiñay Wayna

    Chaquiccocha to Wiñay Wayna area

    Follow the Inca Trail through cloud forest sections and gentler slopes, with views over the Urubamba Valley. The day finishes at the campsite near Wiñay Wayna.

    Aguas Calientes

    Wiñay Wayna to Machu Picchu and Aguas Calientes

    Reach the Sun Gate early, then continue down to Machu Picchu for a guided visit. After the tour, take the bus to Aguas Calientes, where the trek ends.
