This 6-day trip links Lima, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu in a compact route through some of Peru’s best-known sites. Start in Lima with a city tour that covers the coastal districts and the historic center. Continue to Cusco for an introduction to the former Inca capital and its nearby archaeological sites, then spend a full day in the Sacred Valley visiting Pisac and Ollantaytambo. The trip finishes with an overnight in Aguas Calientes and a visit to Machu Picchu by train and bus. It is a practical way to see the main highlights of southern Peru in six days, with shared services and hotel stays arranged throughout.

    Visit Miraflores, see Huaca Pucllana from the outside, and continue to the historic centre for Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the Cathedral and the Convent of San Francisco, including the catacombs.

    Cusco and nearby archaeological sites

    Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco, then settle into the hotel. In the afternoon, visit Cusco Cathedral, Qoricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucará and Tambomachay.
