Southern Vietnam Serenity: Ho Chi Minh City, Cu Chi & Mekong Delta

This five-day trip covers Ho Chi Minh City, the Cu Chi tunnels and the Mekong Delta. It combines city landmarks, wartime history and river scenery in one compact route through southern Vietnam. In Ho Chi Minh City, the program includes some of the city’s best-known sites from the French colonial era and modern civic history. The visit to Cu Chi gives a closer look at the tunnel network used during the war, with an introduction before exploring the site. The final days move into the Mekong Delta, where the pace shifts to rivers, canals and village life. The route includes boat travel, a stop to see coconut candy production and a visit to Cai Rang floating market, one of the region’s most active early-morning trading places.
