Travel through Sarawak and Sabah on a 10-day route that links rainforest, rivers, caves and coastal stops in Malaysian Borneo. Start in Kuching, with time along the waterfront and a visit to Semenggoh Wildlife Centre for a chance to see orangutans in a rehabilitation setting. Continue to Bako National Park for guided jungle walking before flying to Gunung Mulu National Park, where cave systems, rainforest trails and a visit with the Berawan community are part of the itinerary. The route also includes the Headhunter’s Trail, a trek through remote jungle, before ending with time on Labuan Island and in Kota Kinabalu. Several sections involve long walks and basic multishare accommodation in national park areas, so a reasonable level of fitness is needed. Arrival in Kuching
Arrive in Kuching and attend the welcome meeting in the evening. If time allows, walk along the waterfront and try local dishes in the city. - 2

Bako National Park walk
Travel by road and boat to Bako National Park. Join a leader-led jungle walk, then return to Kuching later in the day. - 3

Semenggoh Wildlife Centre
Visit Semenggoh Wildlife Centre to watch orangutans at the viewing platform. The rest of the day is free in Kuching.
