This 9-day small-group journey links Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, Tiger Leaping Gorge and Shangri-La by rail, road and on foot. It combines city walks, market visits, time in Bai and Naxi communities, and a two-day trek in Tiger Leaping Gorge. Arrive in Kunming by air or high-speed rail, then transfer to your hotel. In the evening, join the welcome meeting and meet your tour leader. If time allows, take a first walk around the city and Green Lake Park.— - 2

Kunming to Dali
Travel by high-speed train to Dali. After arrival, join a guided walk through the old town. The rest of the evening is free to explore at your own pace.Breakfast - 3

Dali and Xizhou
Take a day trip to Xizhou, north of Dali. Visit the local market and learn more about Bai architecture and daily life. Return to Dali with free time in the afternoon.Breakfast
